Yeah they wanted almost 10k for the marble. I was thinking that is easily a 9Ē rear end lol.

The granite is actually not as bad as you would think since I had it cut with a leathered texture. If I had gone smooth you would be going for a ride!

Good thinking. Iíve never seen that done around a pool before, itís very nice looking. Something Iíll have to remember when I decide to build one.

I have an xj, they are so cheap and easy to mess with. Most expensive investment of them all was tires. Can beat the hell out of them too and they keep going.

Yes I wasnít really familiar with it to start with but I was looking at travertine pavers. I was concerned about all the pie cuts and joints in the curves and I talked to a lady at a stone place and she said they would come laser scan the pool, create a template and then if I bought granite slabs they could cut each piece out so it would flow around the pool. Very happy with that decision. Definitely ask for the slabs to be leathered so they have texture so they arenít slippery.

I think the xj could be a fun project to mess with.

Yeah Gregmanz from the looks of it, it looks like the granite may be quite a slippery texture, so it is quite deceiving. However, when you actually touch it and run your fingers across it, just like was said, it has a leathery grippy feel to it. The guys did a fantastic job..Kudos to them and of course to the J Man

Wait, marble in a kitchen?? Isn't marble super susceptible to staining? I thought it was for bathrooms only.
