LEAKING OIL After oil change at the dealer (it never leaked and I have owned it since 5000 miles now it has 9900 miles). Have you heard of this? I talked to a member that said he heard of this problem, and the next week the motor was blown...

I took the car 10 days ago for a routine oil change. Next day I see some small amounts of oil on the garage floor. Didnt think too much, techs are messy some times. I didnt drive the car for 3 days or so back it up and now there is more oil! I called the dealer took it in, they put it up on the rack checked the plug, and the filter both are dry. The advisor comes to me and asks me in a crappy tone "do you drive your car hard?" I answer no, I am averaging 18 MPG right now, and to tell you the truth there are times I get on it, but I am not a knucklehead speeding around especially with the photo radar.

He says there is oil leaking from the breather hose where it connects to the air intake (I have a Airaid intake). He says these cars even driven with a half of there potential are going to leak oil. He said these things with an accusing attitude and that PISSED me off. I was very calm said nothing, he still has the car...

Problem I have is this. First I havent changed the way I drive. I owned a C before and it never leaked. My wifes car I drive it doesnt leak oil... This car I have had for 4 months it did not leaking until now because of the way I drive even though it only started leaking after you changed my oil?

By the way, I moved my car a couple time in the garage... Thats y the oil moves around the floor I think...

Can you comment on aftermarket tuner devices. i.e. diablo. And there claimed performance gains, effect on warranty etc. Do these new tuners mean that Chrysler will be opening up their computer language to outside tuners?

Hi, and thanks for taking the time to chat with us!

My question concerns performance enhancements for the jeep srt8 (and the others, I imagine - and I have a 2006)...I heard from Jon Clark at Mopar that a cam was coming out that would be good for 40hp...and actually a second one for lower end (at the cost of high end I believe he said) good for 60hp. I talked to him at the Woodward Dream Cruise, and he thought it'd be out mid-September, but the dealer I've been calling says no word on it yet. Is this coming? Is it real?

Almost as importantly, if we get this installed by a dealer, does our regular warranty still apply?

Thanks!
Ron

To date what has been the failure rate of the 6.1 Hemi in the SRT vehicle line since the initial engine offering?

And if there are failures ,what have you seen as the engine area (IE heads, Valves, Pistons, Crankshaft etc) most prone to failure?

The reason I ask is I have a failed engine at 3300 miles, BTW after a oil change a week ago.

JGC SRT8 Fuel pump specs

Great product guys!
What are the fuel pump specs for our JGC SRT8's?
Ltr/hr and psi please.
I realize that the fuel pressure is regulated in the fuel pump module to 58 psi +/- 2 psi.

Thanks!
Bill

I would really appreciate your advice on this. Thanks for delivering such super machines for us MOPAR nuts!
Take an easy cruise, it should be no issue. No WOT's please.

Hi.

Are there any differences in the engine management system, trans, or drivetrain in the 08 vs the 06-07 models?

Thank you.

Sorry, we can not comment on other people's products.

Hi Ron. You're absolutely right, safety does have to come first. We are aware of the forum comments, some positive, but many negative on the appearance of the exhaust. You don't necessarily have to reverse-engineer our hitch - there are a lot of aftermarket systems you can find with a forum search.

We will not sell the hitch without the exhaust because it causes high trailer tongue and wiring temperatures (ask anybody on the forum who has done this and they will corraborate).

Believe me, we tried everything. As you said, safety comes first.

Production launch soon, however, we can not publish the date. Look for them towards year end.
