Only one that I know of, they should of put forged pistons in both the 6.1 & the 6.4 from the factory. I mean come on what's another few hundred bucks.

The engine is carry over from the 13 truck. Shouldn't be any different than what you are used to.

....yeah for a FKN $70k Jeep what the heck is another $500-$600 for the best pistons?

I mean hey, it is $15k-$20k less than a porshe or comparable high dollar SUV.

Isn't that the reasoning behind the A-hole outta sight WK2 pricing?
it's cheaper than the suppos ed competition.

I am just pissed because I will never be able to buy one!!!!! :-(

Just think of the marketing campaign they could do if all SRT models had a forged engine from the factory. It would increase sales incredibly & really wouldn't even add much cost to the overall price. Heck even offer it an option, who wouldn't pay an extra $1k up front or even $1500, compared to cost of replacing the motor when the ring land goes. I say we start a petition "forged motors in all 3rd gen SRT's"

Not to hi-jack... The 6.4 was available as a crate motor before going into production vehicles and I bet those had forged internals so they downgraded it.

With the supercharged option on the horizon this keeps people from doing high boost on their own. The only factory short block I've ever seen ready for a power adder was the Toyota Supra.

The new Boss 302 is fully forged from the factory.

That's why this would be a great marketing/sales tool for them. It would get all of the GM & Ford buyers taking notice & increase sales.
