Hennessey does a lot of testing on that particular toll road. They have tested their 800hp CTS-V and their Venom on that same road. Awesome stretch of pavement, wish I had that in my backyard haha. Very impressive what they were able to accomplish with the ZL1 (cost aside).

Not that impressive! There's a shop down here with one that'll blow that things doors off. Runs 9's all day long.

LOL I think achieving anything above the 200mph mark is impressive. Now I am not saying it's the fastest or best ZL1, still a cool feat to accomplish though.

They did the majority of their testing before the road was actually opened. It's SH130 from Austin to San Antonio. Great road. I was actually on it last night.
I just wish I had your jeep on this road in my backyard.

I agree... 9s @ 140 is great... 204mph is a little different.
Realistically not that great of a feat considering the car was so fast to start with and that the Shelby "does" it with 650hp.

Well I guess I am just tainted, but I find it impressive that a 4,000lb camaro/mustang can accomplish speeds over 200 mph. The '13 Shelby is a different story considering it comes from the factory with that capability.

Impressive... yes. It is faster than most of the people on here will ever go, in anything. But to an extent.
Does it take Henessey the super tuner to push a ZL1 to 200+? No, I think with a factory supercharged car making over 500hp to begin with, anyone with basic wrenching skills and a tune can do it these days. I think it is a nod to GM and Ford for creating vehicles that are capable of such feats with such minimal involvement from the aftermarket.
Do it in 1 mile, then you have something.
