Launch Control

2-step FTW. It took my jeep from 1.7x 60' to 1.5x.

Look at every thing we get now all of a sudden. New tranny, 8 inch nav screen, launch control! This is bad ass. Things I wished the 2012 had. Bummer for those who got a 2012 and dropped their last savings into that car....
Thanks a lot lol, but yea, I feel really behind with my 2012 in just a year of owning it

I'm guessing a real world low 4s is acheivable with launch control. I still don't believe the onboard computers interpretation of 4.3 0-60. Not unless it's at seal level, very cold weather, and slightly downhill. I just don't see it. Just my opinion. I think 4.8 average is about what the 12-13 Wk2 can do. Sure you get some better real world times, but that's what I believe. A 4.6 average in the '14 for a vehicle as heavy as the Jeep is damn impressive.

Once again ALL IMHO. I do not own a 12-13 SRT8, I'm only basing it on rides in them and seeing races against other cars.

Kind of funny how all the car co design things and put them on cars to go racing but then tell you if you do and we find out will can void any repairs under warranty lol.

Don't feel bad. I still admire those who jumped on the 12s and 13s, plus your ride is still pretty bad ass.

Launch Control

My 12 still puts a huge grin on my face every time I drive. I don't get excited about a bigger Nav screen. The launch control is cool, but I can launch mine pretty well without it. The 8 speed tranny, I'm undecided about. Overall, the 14 is a great update, but I'm in no rush to move into one.

The very interesting fact I read about the new 8 speed is that it does 35-75 4 seconds quicker than the current transmission.

(please correct me if my recollection of the article is wrong)

I thought that was AWESOME. Now we will be as quick from a dig as WK1s.. and much faster from a roll...

I also read that the rear end is significantly more robust? I don't know how... but if it is true that is saying A LOT about the IRS in these pigs.
