Launch Control

It's called a two step. You can set it anywhere from 2000 RPMs to 6000 RPMs.

This may be a dumb question. But do you need any specific modifications to use a 2 step? Like an higher stall torque converter?

You don't need anything, but a stock Jeep doesn't really need anything to help it launch to begin with.

Good point. It was more of a curiosity question for stuff I do in the future.

My X5M has launch control and my WK1 still leaves considerably harder by just mashing the throttle.

I think in vechules like this LC is more of a novelty. But we'll see once numbers are released for the 2014.

Understandable. I used mine to spool my turbo because I had a 5 speed in my car, it also sounded incredible. With an automatic a stall built for your combo with their 2 step and supporting driveline upgrades and you would see better and more consistent 60s. Sure Harry will explain it better.

Good question actually. Those at chrysler seem pretty smart now if you think about it.

Look at every thing we get now all of a sudden. New tranny, 8 inch nav screen, launch control! This is bad ass. Things I wished the 2012 had. Bummer for those who got a 2012 and dropped their last savings into that car....
