My Jeep thinks its German !!

Have just finished installing a new Pioneer head unit and PAC RadioPro4 RP4-CH11

All working great except the PAC is forcing the EVIC to be displayed in German....

Anyone seen anything like this before ? I've mailed PAC asking for advice but dont imagine they'll be overly interested.

Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated

Yes - unfortunately you change it and then it jumps straight back to German...

I've now done a bit more searching and found other WK owners with same problem - seems to be a PAC issue with Euro spec cars.

Solution is to swap the PAC and Harness for a Scosche item - guess thats another £150.00 spend then - not sure i can live with "door is open and mpg" etc. in German

Try to disconnect your batterie, and than turn the key in the engine start position to run down the energie in the ecu s of your car to reset them. If it does not work - go to your dealer - he can set the country code of your car to GB - so it should speek englisch to you
