How long will these monsters last before i start replacing parts?
So I've always loved the jeep srt8 since I was 15 and now im 19 in college and looking for one.
I found a 1 owner black 07 with 137k miles on it for a little under $16k in pa. I emailed the dealer to send me pictures, but they'll probably just call me and annoy me.
So assuming if everything looks good from the pictures, how many miles have you guys put on before needing to replace major parts?
Since im in college i cant really afford an srt8 with low millage.
Also is that a good deal or should i try to get the dealer to go lower?
Sounds a lil low I think as these rigs hold value pretty well. As far as needing to replace parts it really all depend on what u get. Not really set times for any giving part to have to replace but for the amount if it looks good and runs well I'd say take. They offering a warranty with it?

On there website there's nothing about warranty. I'm sure they have at least a 90 day warranty or something. Ill definitely ask them if i move forward.
There really is no standard rate of wear for any car.....it all depends on how the previous owner(s) drove, and maintained the vehicle. One car can be a cream puff at 150K, while another could be ready for the scrapyard.
I would check to see if they have any service records for that truck. 137K is quite a few miles.....I would think the previous owner(s) have replaced parts along the way. It would be nice to know what was done, and when. You really want to know for sure if all the major services were done, or else that thing is a ticking time bomb. Has the timing chain ever been replaced, transmission ever replaced, transfer case fluid changed regularly, etc.?

When I test drove mine. They guy got 3 txt messages within 5 minutes saying they wanted to buy it on the spot. It was a private sale and the guy was cool enough to hold on to it for a couple days.
