permachrome wheels

Anyone ever buy / exchange their stock 2006-10 wheels for a Permachrome set? I saw their web site and wanted to know of any opinions. I also wanted to know if they are better or worse than traditional chrome plating.

PVD coating is suppose to be alot better then chrome plating, its suppose to hold up longer be better in winter, and be lighter. iv been looking at the permachrome exchange program for a year now but havn't not worked up the balls to try it out. i think they are actually called black diamond wheel now. let me know how it goes if you decided to do it. i think their black chrome looks awesome. wish i was closer so i could just take my wheels to them instead of some exchange system

I have the black chrome on my wheels and no issues with them. If you do a search, there's a couple guys on here that have had it done and happy with the results.
Oh wait, it's that elusive search button....again....

Eskle has done this with his wheels and they look incredible in person. He hasn't had any issues with them that I know of.

Agree with John as Eskle's wheels IMO are the best looking ones I've seen. Didnt know until now however this is where he got them from.

I had mine done by calchrome. I shipped my originals to them. They did a very nice job. Great communication.
