looking for someone to help me ship something to Canada

This may be asking too much , but i was wondering if there was anyone close to the border that could redirect a shipment from FAO schwartz as they refuse to ship to Canada.
Long story short, my son is a big muppets fan, and they allow you to make your own. I had told him that if he saved his money, I would order it for him. Well he saved his money, but they won't ship it and even though he is handling it well, I feel bad. I've looked into brokers, but frankly wouldn't trust it. I have no problem paying shipping and a fee for helping me out.

A friend of mine from Toronto is going to be in town in a couple weeks. If you get it to me by the 5th I can get him to ship it.
