Plug N Play LEDs for 3157 DRL

Was at auto zone today when I found an 3157 compatible LED bulb for the DRL's. Jamstrait. A little pricey @ 34 (vs. a Silverstar or regular bulb ), but happy with the upgrade! Now I just need to replace the factory LEDs in the strip and the fogs.

@ Barish brand is Jamstrait. @Taillight. Do you tails require any wiring? I liked that the bulbs I purchased were a simple bulb swap. Also are doing any tails with multiple lights for example like in your sig.?

The taillights in that video are stock with replacement LED's and resistors. The LED kit is the new Triton style that is completely plug and play for the buyer.

The lower lamps are my rear fog
conversion / activation kit with LED bulbs which is also plug and play.

I do offer a taillight only LED upgrade kit with the LED rear fog activation kit for the WK2 series Grand Cherokees.

Question, you need the resistors on the LEDs for the blinkers, right? Are those the Triton's with the resistor included in the base?

Cheers for sharing - Rig looks sweet! Our light setup is a little different in Oz, just to confirm, you replaced the previously-'yellow' bulb behind the little jeep grille logo, yeah? If so, is exactly what I'm after and keen for info

@Bono yes the yellow bulb behind the jeep logo. i called them DRLs because that was what they were referred to in the earlier discussions. I think the US and export models may be set up the same way
Only the lower LED strip is on during the day/when the projectors arent on. When the projectors are on the light behind the jeep logo is on; that light is also on when you do autostart. The LED strip is always on but it dims when the headlights are on
Surely would be nice if we could stop them from dimming.

At first I thought the light behind the jeep logo was a part of the brights then I noticed that the projectors do both low and high beam so i actually dont know what that light is for and considered
just pulling it as you cant tell its not there and it doest cause an error just

Hey, just a heads-up for anyone doing this to note the length of the shaft/trunk/whatever-its-called is quite long to fit in the OE globe holders.

I got some 3157s off ebay but they don't fit far enough down - Can see comparison here.


Theses are Heywire's ones that DO fit (Note different shape bulb base) - I just gotta find'em in Oz http://www.jamstrait.com/3157new.html
