WK1 Interior/Exterior Visual ModificationsIf you are planning on modifying your Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with a visual enhancement, please discuss it in here.
Ok, ill start off by saying that initially i was scared shitless about trying this on my seats, i mean come on, paint on our leather???? so once i found my sense of adventure(and balls) i pulled the headrests for a trial run....all i can say is it has TOTALLY changed how my interior looks, and for less than $8 to boot...the pix honestly dont do it justice.
here is a video of a camaro doing the same thing. i used the same type elmers painters pen $2.14 and Mcguiers leather CLEANER $4.49 both from Wal-Mart...took all of 30min to do entire interior....you'll want 3 rags for the job-one to soak with the leather cleaner, one to wipe the paint away as you go and a clean rag that youll use when you do your cleanup with the soaked rag....go ahead and clean all of the stitching with the cleaner prior to starting... i will say this, you want a good flow of paint coming out so it fills the trough the stitches are in....do about 4in then wipe in one direction one time....FINISH THAT SEAT COMPLETELY before you worry about the smeared paint on your leather, IT WILL COME RIGHT OFF!!!! and btw for whatever reasons i COULD NOT get the stitching in my steering wheel to take ANY color. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...6&postcount=48

Nice mod. I really like this as I think the wk2 would look good with a radar red interior. This would be a small change that would make the interior pop.
This looks awesome, I've been wanting to do this to my wife's Tahoe for about a month. She has black interior and I want to do just simple white stitching. Big thanks for the. Post!!

i did a test run on the headrests first of about a half an inch, after about 5min of drying time i went back over it with black and you honestly couldnt tell it had ever been touched....there are about 15 different colors you can go with, personally i think that red would go with all paint colors except the steel blue...for those that dont know my jeep is silver with pastel blue calipers and badges so the blue stitching was a no brainer for me.....ill try and grab an up close shot in the morning but i cannot express this enough, i swear that even when your eye to eye with the stitches you cannot tell that it is not colored thread, its truly amazing...btw, my balls have been much more easily accessible since i got divorced and removed them from my wifes purse!!!
