Jack, you really took that as bashing? I welcome any and all options out there including your attempt to be economical while hunting for HP. My comments were more made in regards to piping sizing. Limiting factors in power I would certainly think? When I say apples to apples it is because the op stacked it himself in comparison to stage 6. If it was me and I was paying that kind of money for the setup whether its $8,000 or $9,500 I would like the turbo piping to flow aesthetically in the compartment a bit better. I hope my comments aren't taken as bashing because I certainly am not trying to.
Do you know there are a handful of guys on here who NEED a DP bigger than 3.5"? That's what I'm trying to tell you guys. Need to make more than 800hp, then put a bigger DP in it. No big deal.
Take no offense brother, didn't mean for you to take it that way, but there are a lot of assumptions going on where people are implying that the kit isn't worth it. Nobody can say it isn't worth it. We don't know what it comes with or how much power it is going to make.
I was told S6 uses mild steel in their base kit, I don't know if that is true, but this kit is 100% stainless. I wouldn't even consider mild in a build for myself because I live in the salt belt. It would fall off the truck. After the cost of coating, you're better off going SS to begin with.

I guess when I spoke of the piping and seeing other RET cars run I just assumed they were shooting for huge numbers, I can say I will be watching the street videos for this Jeep!
Yeah man, I guess I'm just saying I'm sure this guy just spent a bunch of money on his truck, we don't have any numbers and a bunch of people are already telling him he should have gone to the forums favorite bandwagon without having anything to base it on.

Anything in particular you think this kit lacks in engineering or quality? I don't know many engineers that make turbo kits for Jeeps, lol, jk
Nothing against S6, they clearly have a strong following, and for good reason, but to make blanket statements about something you know NOTHING about for the sake of bashing another product isn't doing anybody any good. Know how easy it is to put a 4" DP in that truck? Do you also know that most turbos on these trucks don't outflow a 3.5" DP? Other than the DP what else do we know about it?
I also really like the filter location, was wondering how they were going to pull that off.
Take a minute,...take a deep breath,...reach down and untie the knot in your panties...!
I'm not crapping on the kit, I'm crapping at the price of the kit...it lacks the refinement / fit and appearance of kits that exist out there for around the same money...
I'll put it to you this way....If you had $8000 burning a whole in your pocket, but knew you could save a little more in the near future, where would you spend your money?
They are going to have to do a lot of work to gain a following with that starting price with the other options available.
$9k installed and tuned. Built in house only to make sure its perfect. Precision 76mm billet wheel turbo, Precision or Tial wastegate, 50mm bov, all stainless, custom true merge, stainless bellow, turbo mount that bolts into factory mounting points, 80# inj, kb bap, thick core air to air cooler, all vbands stainless with self alighning grooves, Borla muffler, air filter, heat wrap, silicone couplers on cold side, tbolt clamps, black compression AN fittings and lines for oil feed and drain, and screw in iat sensor. Kit requires ZERO trimming or cutting of anything! *Optional bigger downpipe avail at no extra charge, but would lose half inch ground clearance*
Looks good for a first time manufacturing if I understand this correctly
C'mon guys give the guy a chance
I'm sure its going to take many tweeks
Hopefully by summer it will be all ironed out and there will be some great dyno numbers

another one of these builds huh??? i think everyone should chill out....maybe do a little research on RET themselves, and still after that wait until the dyno sheets and the track numbers come out for their jeep kit. unless im too drunk to taste this chicken by looking at their actual website....looks like they work on Z06s and ford GTs and shelbys sooooo their jeep kit will probably put down so good numbers. cali is a hell of a lot closer to ship my car then fl.
