What specs/options did you go with for the engine?
callies/compstar pistons and H beam rods,
fully forged H beam rods, calies pistons 10.3 compression arp bolts and a stage 2 218/224 570/555 @113LSA cam,
And for my planned mods.
Pac 1235 valve springs, forged pushrods. porting the heads and intake, going with a 90mm throttle body, stall and a paramount valve body. 1 7/8' long tube headers. possibly more.. depends on what money I can spend on it.
here is how it sits so Far..
got everything up top that I can tell, is there only 1 fuel line/feed line? have to look more tomorrow, kinda fighting a head cold but happy that I got a little done today.. just started on the under side, got the exhaust manifolds unbolted, looks like I will have to drop the tranny cross member to get the mid pipes out, and I removed the inpection plate/brace. It should come out tomorrow if I can get my buddy to come give a hand, but he is jermaphobic... and not sure because I have a head cold.
Nice progress and pic! There is only one fuel line as its a dead headed fuel system. Are you going to pull the intake manifold off for easier picking of the engine?
that does sound like a good idea and it seems to be fairly easy by the looks of it. i just went out and looked and that should make it a lot easier. I may add a flex plate too, the stocker looks heavy from what I can see.
ATI makes a good flex plate, Bill sells one as well. I think I have Bill's flex plate. Put some blue tape on the head ports when you do pull the manifold. Have you taken all the grounding straps off from the back of the heads and around the trans bell housing yet?
