New 2012 srt8 in garage for wife

Went to dealer saturday to get my driver seat base replaced on warranty and the owner od the dealer stopped buy to chat and i said hows your ride running these days and he said i just turned it in. He said its out front all ready 4 you lol. So i looked at it and he said ill make you 1 hell of a deal. The window was 65,375 and he sold it to me for 55,000 BUT it had 5780 miles on it. The main reason i bought it was he was the only 1 i have seen with rear dvd player. I wanted the DEEP CHERRY but SLIVER was ok. This thing is a lot bigger than my 07 and feels strong bone stock and i decide to keep it that way to see if i can make it the fastest bone stock WK2 out there. The dam shipping wt on the invoice says its 5311 lbs lol. That means the race wt with me in it will be 5566 lbs yippers. It has a dumass trailer tow group 5 option and that must weigh a bundel lol. They gave me 25,000 for my jeep and it was raining out all day so i didnt have time to take the tune out so i did keep the predator and sell it married and they said i can have the GSM CAI if i want it. Barb said this thing is as big as a boat lol.The invoice date was 3/19/12 and the invoice price was 61,803. I also got a 6/100,000 max care 0 deductable exstended warranty for it at there cost of $2735.00.
I cant wait to do some evic 0/60,1/8 mile and 1/4 mile runs.

Congrats Jim...never thought you would pull the trigger on a new Jeep! Enjoy and Merry Christmas to you and Barbara! Post up some pics when you get some time too! Strip that tow package off to save some wait also. So are you getting a Trinity for Christmas to slap a tune in that thing?

4 now i have decided to keep this 1 bone stock and with the help of some diff octane with a stock tune see if i can be the fastest bone stocker out there. Ill start out with ca 91 gas then move up to vp109 with all that 6.3% oxy to see if it will make more hp with it. We have a couple guys in our group with WK2 and ill let them test the e mail tunes but if i do go with a tune ill get a cmr dyno tune from Adam our HOT west coast tuner. This way we can compare a dyno tune to the e mail tunes on the WK2. Ill have to see if he wants to start dynoing the WK2. If this 6.4 loses the same amount as my 6.1 from a AW DYNOJET bone stock it should put out 383 to 391 hp to the wheels.

Congratulations! It's a nice vehicle to own. As far as it being bigger then the wkI I can't comment, but I haw an 04 GC and this thing is 6-8inches longer and I couldn't tell how much wider. My 04 was lifted 2" and had an extra inch of tires making it 3 inches above stock. And funny enough the wkII is only about 1" lower then all that. These things are big, which makes them all that more incredible when you think something this size can take a corner the way these do, or do a 0-60 sprint the way they do.

You'll enjoy it!

Looking forward to seeing your slip times and results!
