Was apart of Senator Daniel Inouye's Memorial Service
Was chosen to be part of the Joint Casket Team for Senator Daniel Inouye's memorial serivce at Washington National Cathedral while his remains were state side. Huge honor and a privelege and wanted to share some pretty neat pics.
Quick background, Senator Inouye was WWII vet. Lost his arm charging machine gun nests in Italy, earning him the Medal of Honor. Was Hawaii's senator for 50 of its 53 years being a state which made him the second longest serving senator in U.S. history. There's tons more but that's just some highlight. He was an amazing individual and again it was an honor
I'm the Coastie. Second from back, far side. Blue blouse, white cover. There's lots more pics but here's just a few.
what an honor man, I love when things like this are shared. thank you so much and thank you for sharing!
