Thinking of wrapping Headliner

So I'm thinking of wrapping the headliner with black suede. The only thing that's stopping me is the retractable shade piece. Does anybody know if the material of the shade can be removed and replaced with suede?

I wrapped my headliner, a-pillars, visors in my 2013 in Black Alcantara suede. You can't cover the sunroof shade in suede. When it would roll up, it would be too thick. I sprayed mine with a water based black interior fabric paint. It came out great. I paid $800, but got a smokin deal from a buddies interior shop. Several places had quoted me between $1100-$1400.
