Lets talk about the 2014 in performance assumptions...

So....with the 8 speed tranny...how much do you guys think it'll improve 1/4 mile times?

Keep in mind from what i've read a stock 2012 has gone 12.90...Do you guys think the lower gearing could drop the 2014 to a 12.60-12.70?

Do we know anything about the first 3-4 gear ratios of the 8 speed vs the current 5 speed?

Not sure but I remember reading somewhere that someone had a source that said it was faster across the board with the new transmission. *hearsay* 17/24 MPG estimate also. I can't fricken wait!

17/24 would be a HUGE improvement

Heres the gear ratios But we dont no what rear end gear ratios they will use as now the WK2 has a 3.70 gear. Right now the 5.7 jeep uses a 3.40 gear so who knows what gear they will use.

8 speed 4.696....3.130....2.104....1.667...1.285...1.000.. .0.839...0.667.

5 speed 3.59.....2.19......1.41.....1.00.....0.83

The 8-speed when applied to the 2013 Dodge Charger V6 made huge improvements in acceleration and fuel economy.

What about the rumored front fascia change...hoping they make it a little more wk1 like...anyone else agree the looks need some adjustments...the wheels grew on me a bit..

The trannys that are in the v6 are junk I thought, not really performance oriented. I wojld think our NAG1 would be better there for I dont think we will gain that much. I can see maybe a little but I dont think we will see that much. IMHO I think they are just trying to get better mileage with the same performance
