a dealer here does the same thing. I finally asked the salesman how they justified the upcharge and how they sell them with the up charge. He told me that a majority of the people who buy the cars with aftermarket upgrades either can't afford to buy wheels after they buy the car so they tie it in to the new car purchase. or they dont know enough about cars to get them on their own.

Sounds like they shouldn't be buying the car in the first place if they can't afford a few g's on wheels after the purchase.
