My Rig has gone from a DD to more of a 'weekender'. Looks like I have put about 7,000 miles on it over the past 17 months...
1) How long does the Mobil/BP/Shell 93 octane remain fresh? Is there any need to worry about moisture or alcohol "separation'? (somebody mentioned this to me and I gave the deer in the headlights look!). Do I need to run any additional additives?
2) Dual fuel pumps...so I assume the second one is higher than the original, maybe. Do I need to keep a certain amount of fuel in the tank to keep the pump cool??
Thanks for any insight..

Sunoco and vp says onces it in the tank it should be replaced every 2 weeks unless you add some type of additive. I have stored vp 109 sealed in there 5 gal bucket for about 1 yr then broke the seal and went racing and ran the same times as if it was new but once you brake there seal you have to put it in a reg gas can and store it off concrete and they say it will last 2 yrs after the fill date on there can but make sure you don't store it in there can as it's not for storing gas once the seal is broken.

Go find a ethanol free gas station and fill up there when you are almost out of your current fuel. You shouldn't have problems with storage after that.
Pump gas starts to break down, and seperate after about 2 weeks. If you're only going to drive it periodically, mix up some 93 octane with some Stabil in a fuel jug, and pour it in. You can also find ethanol free fuel in some states.....we don't have it in this area.
VP also makes a storage fuel called C9, that is good for over a year in the tank.

The Doc mentioned VP...and I thought he meant BP
I will have to look into this; not sure about ethanol free, though...that sounds rare.
Thanks.
