WK1 General Performance DiscussionIf you are planning on modifying your Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with a performance enhancing modification, this is the section to post about it.
What should the gap be at, for a S/C application, 10-14 lbs ?? I hear a lot of different opinions..... How many steps colder, 1 or 2.... and gaps.... Thank You...
On my turbo cars I used 2 step colder plugs. For an indicator for spark plug gap, I would run the car if it had a high boost miss I'd tighten up the gap. At 25-30 pounds of boost my gap usually was .025.
Here's another tip I learned for a boosted engine, keep the spark plug ground strap pointed toward the intake valve. By indexing the plug this way you keep the pressurized intake charge from trying to blow out the spark.

at that boost .30 to .32 depending on how things work for you, maybe a little closer if you get some blow out at high rpms. Guy's pretty much on point.
