I don't know about you guys but I'm screwed if best buy goes under. I don't have anyplace else to go now. Everything else closed up.
Btw- I bought a $4500 tv from them for $1500. Brought it home that day along with a surround sound, that I saved $150 on. I have also found it impossible to compete with their warranty work, they have always been outstanding. I know I can buy stuff online but sometimes you don't have 2-10 days to wait for something. The only other option is Walmart, which also has an incredible return policy btw.
What other stores do you guys have like BB that would better suit your needs?
Best Buy is a joke. I used to buy everything from there, but after my last few visits, when I have pre-ordered stuff, and when I go to pick them up they are no where to be found. I have to wait an additional week to get it and they would only offer me $15 gift card... They have lost my business for good. I will only go in there to play with a product before going home and buying it on Amazon.

i always get things shipped, its not even worth the time or gas for me.. never had an issue with them, they even took back my new laptop after i installed the diablo software and it wouldn't work with windows 8
I pretty much buy all my electronic items from Best Buy as they always seem to have the best deals but with that being said I have noticed customer service is lacking as well. My issue however was not with Geek Squad but with the very slim number of employees they have working around the store. No matter if I go around the Holidays or a normal weekend there never seems to be anyone around to help assist or answer questions.
I'm sure most of you are already aware of this but just in case NEVER I mean NEVER buy any type of ethernet cables or HDMI cables from Best Buy like stores. They charge you like 1000% more than places like monoprice do on the internet.

I agree with everything.
I'll go back to my original statement though, an educated customer is the best kind. Don't go to best buy looking for an education, do the leg work and know what you're shopping for before you get there. It is a lot like when we walk into the dealership and know way more about the trucks than they do, imagine how badly we could be taken advantage of if we walked in there and took the salesman's word for it. They just don't know everything about everything, we can't expect them too. He'll, I spend half of the time I'm in BB on my phone reading reviews and finding it cheaper online to haggle them down.
Best buy does have good deal on laptops every once in a while but thats about it. I don't shop there very much any more at all. Unless it was for something like I mentioned above for the wife. Most anything computer related I get from Newegg. As for TV's & home theater stuff Best buy doesn't carry anything really worth spending money unless its for the bedroom. I get all my stuff like that from a local "high end" store. Most people think they only sell very expensive stuff there, which they do, but they have everything. I have always found that going there I can get the next better model or next bigger size for the same price or lower than the lesser model elsewhere. Plus those guys work on comm. so when they get to know you & know you will keep coming back the deals just keep getting better.

Well I no longer shop at best buy either. They had nothing capable of satisfying my somewhat advanced pornographic needs. Anyone know where the US military gets their gear?!

I believe that Best Buy employees do NOT work on commission. I think they used to, but no longer do
