If it's black plastic thats faded, try "Forever Black". I used it on my YJ and my mom's TJ on the dreaded fender flares and it gets em pretty good for at least a year depending on sun and how many coats you do. I even used the stuff to dye my grey dash black in my 1988 YJ about 6 years ago, still black to this day It just depends on plastic and coats. Applies a lot like shoe polish and kind of smells like it, but it works One bottle would probably do the rear step about 40 times

How about just painting it to match the body...just a thought.

On a side note.
The first gen. Avalanche is one of the ugliest car/truck/suv ever made in the last 15 years IMO. Whoever designed it should be shot in the face....LOL

False. Pontiac Aztec is the ugliest ever.

Pop off the stock one and paint it. Permanent fix. I did my roof rails too. Semi gloss krylon fusion. Still looks perfect a year later.
