Newb here!!

Hey guys! My name is Joey. I just bought a 2006 Jeep SRT-8. Silver! My last car was a 2004 Dodge SRT-4 with big turbo and all supporting mods. It was a lot of fun to drive, but it was time to grow up, well... sorta.

Anyway the Jeep I bought is in great condition, and in 98 days when I get home from Afghanistan I plan to enjoy it, and start doing some modifications for it.

First mods are, Tstat, and a trans cooler and a valve body. Then Coil overs are going on. Then I plan on getting a catch can and a trinity. After that I will do headers and exhaust. Obviously retuning as I go with the help of someone like Johan. If that doesn't satisfy me then I'll probably grab a mild cam.... if all else fails I guess I'll get a small nitrous set up.

I've done my reading, and plan to enjoy the hell out of this thing!

Also, I've been an srtforums.com member for a long time. Almost 50k posts over there and up until recently, I was a moderator.

Originally from Mass... Joined the Army and after I got out I moved to Florida. I got bored so I decided to jump on this contracting gig. I've been out here almost 2 years. At that 2 year mark I am heading home to Florida to enjoy some life again! Can't WAIT to play with this Jeep.

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service. It's a good thing you already have a good knowledge of these beasts, because now you understand how poorly they handle due to them being RWD

Awe man I thought they were front wheel drive!

I have a decent knowledge of them because I have been reading about the jeep srt and STi for months. Couldn't decide which one to get. Then I found a jeep and couldn't pass it up for the price.

Anyone know of a good hitch that will work with the Corsa/mopar exhaust? I have a trailer and a small go kart that I would like to tow on occasion.
