Drug dealers aren't happy about this I can assure you that. They will lose customers and hopefully go out of business.
Depends on what the state charges & how are they going to know where it came from, spend hundreds on different strain testing if you are caught with some. If the state charges $500-600 an "O" people will still go to the street dealers.

5-600 an O is a joke! Search CL Seattle for MMJ, you'll be shocked whats been going on out here. They even have medical delivery available! Right now on the "pharmacy" web sites its $10 a gr., its just insane to me the day and age we live in. I think and this is just my opinion that in my lifetime you will see prohibition lifted just like it was with alcohol.

There will still be a big market for drug dealers with the under 21 crowd. Who knows how much it will cost to buy legally once Washington puts all the taxes on it. I don't know the precise number but the cost of cigarettes in this state is around 50% tax.

There will be three separate 25% taxes applied to it. The growers, who have to sell to a purchasing agent, growers pay 25% based on those sales, and then the agent who buys from the growers pays 25% when he sells to the state, and then the customer pays 25% sales tax at the shops. It could jump the price dramatically but I believe healthy competition will help keep the prices reasonable. People could ***** about prices all they want, but what is the cost of such a liberty worth? I believe a great deal! I also believe the government just may sit back and watch for a minute to see how this develops. The Federal Drug Czar is none other than ex chief of police of the Seattle PD who with our city mayors office and prosecuting attorneys office moved Mary to their lowest priority schedule. He was quoted in the local newspapers as stating that "a Seattle PD officer patrolling your neighborhood can witness you smoking in your living room from the street through unblinded windows and will continue on about his patrol as we will not charge people for leisurely use in their homes", this was about 6 months before he took the Federal appointment IIRC.....
There will always be a black or grey market for anything. But I'd bet it would put one hell of a dent in the dealers business essentially making them obsolete.
