Hate to break it to you, but nobody has balanced the budget since Andrew Jackson! The only way to fix this government, is to rid it of career politicians. Then they won't be worried about their next election and more concerned with do what the people who elected them want! The Founding Fathers never invisioned politics as a career...the reason Washington set the precedent of two terms as President etc...

Some will fork out the fines...some will restructure to avoid those at all cost, even if that means cutting back on time worked etc... AutoZone is about to do it to 40,000 FULL TIME employees who will now be part time...

We really need to eliminate the Electoral College bullshit, I don't like it at all.
Let's just go with majority vote, it's the American thing to do.

Even if that was the case, Obama still would have won. Popular vote would have only changed 4 elections in the countries history. Al Gore would have been one of them 12 years ago. Its not the change everyone thinks it would make...The Founding Fathers used the Electoral College because they didn't trust the everyday person to make the right choice!
I usually refrain from political threads especially on an automotive forum site but I think this needs to be said,
The hardest thing you may have to deal with in your life is the realization that your beliefs and way of thinking is not the majority. It's tough when it happens. One citizen equals one vote, as of today Obama won the popular vote as well by 2.6 million not just the electoral college.
So you maybe angry, upset etc but the only thing you can do is be more active and informed and be sure to vote in the future, that's all you have.
My input,do with it as you like or dislike. I'm not taking any side just food for thought.
