That's my 2012 that I sold 2 weeks ago. Why would anyone in there right mind buy a used one with 20k(I traded it with 19950) miles for 50k, when I paid 57k for it new? My local dealer is selling a new 2012 for 58k right now. 2012+ will hold there values for awhile since newer one's will eventually hit 70k.
Out of curiosity why did you get rid of it? What did you trade it for?
What are the monthly payments people are making on these? Without incentives they must be pretty high. Awesome SUV though.
It all depends on rates, loan length, down payment, and if a vehicle was traded in on it (positive or negative equity). You could have a payment fall anywhere from $1 to probably around $1500 a month. I would take a wild guess most fall somewhere between $600-900 a month.

There are alot of reasons I sold it, here are a few.
1. I had put on almost 20k miles in less than a year and felt if I didn't sell it I would only get 40k for it since more used ones will be on the market soon and the 2013's were out. (I got 48K)
2. Alot of the little quirks were starting to bother me. I was getting lots of vibrations from both the engine and suspension and the ride wasn't the best with the runflats
3. I didn't have much faith in it for the snow, I have to be able to get around if/when its snows
4. I sold it outright, didn't trade it in, but I did just get a 2013 raptor supercrew, which is badass truck and has a softer ride then the jeep did, can haul a good amount of stuff, back seat has more space, navigation system is better, etc.
I'll probably think about getting a 2014 jeep srt8 but there going to have to make it worth it. The raptors sticker was 55k, I paid 51k for it. The sticker is 10k less than the jeep and they hold their value very well. My jeep did good for me as well, but that's because I got it at initial price and sold it when I did...
agree, wishful thinking. look at the WK1 when the WK2 came out, the price didn't drop to that extreme and IMO WK2 is a more refined vehicle..
The WK1 is a more sought after platform for performance. That's why it held it's value. The WK2 is refined, but it doesn't hold the same oh shit factor when someone sees one, so I strongly believe it will not hold it's value. Time will tell, but I bet I'm right on this one.

On cars.com I have already seen 2012's under $50,000. By this time next. Year they will be at low to mid $40's.
There's no freakin way a brand new (or even a low mileage) 2012 WK2 will listed under $50K.......unless the car was in a wreck, heavily abused or driven around the globe about 5 times. Must be a misprint.
(What some of you guys are willing to post is outright ridiculous these days. I bet next week, we'll see some post about the WK2 being had for a bag of peanuts).
