Needs a tune. I wouldn't run any aftermarket cam without a CMR tune

The Jeep will run with a stock tune, but it will not run well and I would not do any WOT with a stock tune... This cam definitely need a Custom tune.....

So is there someone selling a package deal for cam and tune? I check modern warfare and I didn't see a store to shop from.

I really don't want to pull and or replace heads at this point.

Side note. Is ther a DIY for a cam swap? I imagine it has to be very similar to a LSx cam swap.

The place you have above is not a vendor on here anymore, but you can Google it.... Not sure if they are selling the cams anymore though.... The cam swap should be pretty straight forward as I did my own with a friend.... Tunes for the cams you can get from Johan aka Diablotoona or Jerseyboy on here....

Thanks for the info. Going to table this for next spring when I get my bonus check. I might just have to do this.

Are there ports to hold the lifters up in the heads? What's a good site to read on the 6.1 in other cars. I have no idea what other cars and I guess trucks use the 6.1

Cool man!!! Cam is the best bang for the buck IMO and you will be happy with the cam as I am with it...

No ports to hold the lifters. Spin the engine over by hand a time or two with the rockers disconnected and they should stay up long enough for you to pull old cam and put new cam in. Always worked for us.
