Doing this now. Only issue i had was that with brick/friend the throttle blades did not open. I just opened them by hand and spray the crap out of it. Not sure if this is common for some jeeps and not others.
Just got done. Started it up after sitting as noted took a few extra cranks and then idled real low. Let it sit for 15 min then went to go up my hill from where i live. It sputtered almost like a pinging motor. It dumped a shit load of smoke almost like i did a nice burnout. I got up the hill and ofcourse theres a lady pushing her kid in a stroller and she gave me the shittiest look ever like i was driving a 1988 honda crx that i kept a case of oil in the car in the trunk. Took it for about 6 0-95 passes and now shes cooling down. Off to the track next weekend. Thanks for the info..
the brick/friend thing was my first tip off that this wasnt typed up speciffically for our rides. Im no expert but we have "drive by wire" (read: electrically controlled) throttles, if the engine/ingition is off, that butterfly valve isnt moving from pedal control, you would have to move it manully.
additionally, I've seafoamed other vehicles before and NEVER flooded the engine to the point of stalling out, it doesnt sound like its healthy for the engine.
Did you guys all do that?
