WK2 SRT8 Troubleshooting / Problems Discussion / Dealer ServiceIf you are having some problems with your WK2 SRT8 and need assistance in troubleshooting and diagnosing the problem, this is the proper place to discuss it. Were you treated fairly or poorly at a dealer? Warranty issues? Let us know.
Do some neutral drops. That should tear up the transmission enough so that it is covered under warranty. Or ask your local jiffy lube to empty the trany juice.... Run for a while and when the tranny is allll chewedp fill it back up.
This is a 65k truck. You should not have to put up with this. To me, it's worth it to spend the extra money on true German..... They would not let this happen.
My tranny is ok.... But coming from a stick in my last car..... A troublesome auto trans would really bother me.
I get a weird downshift when going from 2nd to first. Almost like its going from 2 to 1. Then back to 2 again. Is that common?
It's has a very low first gear. Tranni rev matches to catch the gear when downshifting from 2 to 1. The second transition you hear in first is when rev match expires and your left with raw first gear. Normal
The 2012's LOVE the Stage II Valve body and also our torque converter.
I have been testing our PTCM in 2012's that have our Stage II Valve Body.
I want NO LIMP ISSUES!!!!!
When I am convinced the long term testing proves successful, the PTCM will be released for the 2012's, like the Stage II valve body and Torque converter have been.
NO LIMP ISSUES....
I hate them.
Our products are FULLY tested long term before release.
No frigging hype...just products that enhance your ride

Looks like I have some stuff to look forward to....
I'm thinking when I hit 30k miles I'll service the tranny, drop the pan and change the filter and top off with fresh fluid. When doing that throw a
Valve body in if they are good to go. Figure a year or so out on that. Currently a little of 15k miles on the rig.
