You could hold third to 128 probably with the mtcm. It would help you most by lengthening
first gear and getting rid of shortshifting.

If I understand this correctly. For the FI guys, you would be in the higher rpm boost range longer thus making the quarter mile quicker?

Yep, the idea that your dropping you gear ratio down some from the 3.73 to the other options depending on what ends up being made available will greatly improve on shortshifting at the track, shifting into into 5th late in the 1/4 mile kinda sucks, the shift alone costs you time. Think if you can hold that gear longer and run the boost through...

Cruising at 80 mph at 2400 rpm would greatly improve economy in these trucks too! You'd be sipping gas if you're cruising at 60 lol.

No short shifting, holding 3rd to 128, saving the time of at least one shift in the 1/4, cruising at a lower RPM, sipping gas, Is there a negative to this? Im in for sure!!!
