I'll agree, those wheels look great, but at a price of course.
I still don't get all the hatred for the stock wheels. "Garbage"? Really? I like the stock wheels and think they are very far away from "garbage". Ralph and the SRT team obviously thought they looked great and many of us feel the same, so I can appreciate people liking other wheels but can't we slow down with the stock wheel hatred. Please.

For some reason a lot of people think WK2 wheels are supposed to look just like WK1 wheels. WK1 wheels look great but we can't think that every new model must have the same wheel design. I get the love I really do but I also understand change is certain.

Do you not think those rims make the WK2 look better?
Better than stock? Not necessarily. Do they look good? Yes they do and they are light years better than anything else I have seen aftermarket on the WK2.
You gonna shell out $ 1500 a wheel for them? Better yet, you gonna shell out a couple of more grand sticker for the truck had then been stock? Not me.

I think what set people off about the wk2 rims is there was no raw toughness to the rim for lack of a better word. The wk1 rims are very tough, 5 spoke and thick. Although I have seen the new rims in person and that are a little better I think people were expecting something like the 300 srt rims. Idk to me the wk2 rims still link like a spider is standing on the rim, just seems more refined and less tough. But that's kinda what the wk2 is with its interior upgrade and such, I believe for the car they started with the rims fit, just not what everyone was expecting.

Don't quote me on this but I believe they even said they missed the mark on the rims during an SRT chat

The wheels on the grand cherokee are ugly, any other options? Would the previous model fit?

Ralph Gilles: Ouch....we (ok PDO) love that wheel..our wheel supplier hatse machining it. I hate cleaing it. Interesting love hate reaction...oh well. The old rear wheel does fit all the way around..again the old one. We'll look at optional wheels but it won't be till next spring most likely. Funny the SRT engineers don't like them either.
I think it is borderline whether those advs are better than the stockers. I don't love the stock but don't hate them. They do look better in person but they lose cool points for their close resemblance to those toyota sienna wheels. Ah well I'll cross that bridge when i get there which hopefully will be in a few weeks!
