SCT vs DiabloSport

A very reputable local shop (with an AWD dyno) tunes with SCT. They say it offers them more options to tune over DiabloSport. It seems like the consensus around here is DiabloSport, but through searches, I cannot find a "why." So, why is DiabloSport preferred over SCT? I would like facts about the two systems, not just because everyone else is doing it. TIA.

Fact is, SCT has no datalogging....so unless you are going to use a Predator to log and an SCT to flash, they will be tuning by guessing, and thats not cool. At all. Boom.

I have never been made aware of any parameters that SCT has that we dont.

Also, consider the fastest HEMIs inthe world are Diablo Tuned, so what are we missing?
Look no further than FL_SRT8s sick, 1160 rwhp JGCSRT8 TT monster...

I've actually already ordered a DS Trinity, just trying to flesh out options (I talked to this shop after I ordered). From what I gathered from the SCT website, the X Caliber 2 is just a storage device for three tunes + stock and it doesn't do much else if anything at all. The only way to adjust any options is through the software that the shop has? Is this correct? Does it even read codes?

I also have a question about the Trinity. If I load a canned tune into the Jeep, can I use it's data logging and gauge functions on, say, a 06 GTO, or is it locked to that vin?

The Gauage layouts will be different on the 06 GTO. So you can install the stock tune back on the Jeep and then connect it to your 06 GTO. Once in there you can make your Gauge layouts so you can datalog and monitor. Once a layout has been made you can use it to monitor or to data log. Not sure if your Gauge layouts would carry over tho, once you connect the tuner back on the Jeep. Let us know how that works out.

Here is a quote from the one guy on here that I know used SCT

Yayyyyyy Diablo!!!!!

From what I've heard, SCT no longer provides tuner support for our Hemi's. But even when they did, they were no match against Diablo.

I dont mean to steal the spotlight off of the topic, but I'm curious. What is the big advantage of the Trinity vs the Tuner? Do I still need to take the beast in and dyno tune it? How does the Trinity know what mods I have and calculate for elevation for proper a/f ratio?
