I never had a CEL come on but I did change the parameters for my fan. In fact, Tim's tune had the settings built in so I didn't have to change anything manually. Good luck!

Nothing to do with the o-ring. It's because your new Tstat isn't allowing the vehicle to warm up as fast as it should so it sets a DTC. Whoever does your cal work should be able to fix this...
use ur stock red rubber sealant instead of the jet back one they give you they back one is not tight like the stock red sealant
I checked for leaks and have no problems. I figure if it's not leaking than there is no reason to go in and change the gasket.

Makes sense. I'm getting a CMR tune by AJ on the 27th. Hopefully i remember to mention it...lol
Leaks that are inside the housing, aka its possible the coolant is getting around the gasket and flowing even when it shouldn't, acting like there was no tstat (well, not like no tstat, like it was 95% blocked and 5% is getting around, and those are just random numbers and examples but you get the point)
I did mine about a year ago, never changed the fan settings, have never had a code. I do have they little blow out around the cap starting to occur but I've already gotten that stant locking cap, 11334 I think was the number
