Check TPM System <-- Error message I'm getting on my '08

I found two older similar threads but vehicles involved where not '08 specific IIRC, and according to the dealer the '08's have a different TPM System (not sure).
So I decided to start a new fresh thread about it. .

OK so I’ll summarize it from the start.
1. I had to get rear passenger tire fix do to a nail in it, so I had it patched (not plugged).
2. Next day I started having this error message on the EVIC “Check TPM system”
3. I still get the correct PSI reading on all 4 tires.
4. Took it to dealer and they couldn’t fix via StarScan.
5. There’s a wireless tool they take to each tire to report data back to StarScan but the tool was only good for years up to ’07, they didn’t have one for ’08 (bummer).
6. So they decided to replace both sensors, the one inside the tire and the one on the wheel well behind the tire, called Wireless Control Module (WCM).
7. They road tested it and said that it was fixed.
8. Got home (25 miles away), had the jeep off for about an hour then got back on the jeep and same error message came back on the EVIC… It always happens about a minute or two after the jeep is started, one ding sound followed by “Check TPM system” and then it shows the tire PSI screen, then I had to hit the step button for it to go away and everything is back to normal until the next time I start up the jeep again.

Anyone else experienced this same error with theirs and found a solution?
I think the dealer ran out of options to figure this one out.
Any ideas what I should try next?

Thanks!

I put 11K miles on a patched tire on my 2006 with no issues.

After getting new tires, I got this message for about 4 days. It finally went away and did not come back. Pressure always seemed to be correct.

Hey Mario, I got this message earlier this winter when it was frigid out....was getting that message, then flash to low psi, then show the psi indicator and show how low the psi was in my 2 rear tires....in addition, my low tire psi orange icon lit up on my dash.

I then took it over to a gas station, filled up each tire to 36 psi (as per my pen handheld psi gauge), hoped in my Jeep, drove for a lil bit, everything went away. However, now my psi indicator windown shows the psi for each tire to always be at around 44-46 when warm out, and 39-41 when its cold out (like tonight).
Not sure if this is your issue, but hope you get it resolved.

There could be some moisture in the valve and in the cold weather it might be screwing it up

Update: Dealer replaced another part in order to fix this problem and it seems they got it fixed this time.
The part is called "Wireless Ignition Node" (WIN). Located on the Ignition switch I believe.
They explained to me that it's the part that receives the signal from the TPM sensors in the tires and the Wireless Control Module (WCM) on the wheel well, which they originally replaced.

If anyone else has this issue, let the dealer know to change the WIN before anything else.

Don't know if you have a trintiy hooked up but when I do I had my TPM light on,must be some interference with the WIN receiving the signal, took trinity out and all was back to normal.
