Performance ModificationsIf you are planning on modifying your Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with a performance enhancing modification, this is the section to post about it
I really did not consider the tomahawk and it shows why.
You mention track PRO series, is this more aggressive than the race std 6.1? I am confused about the pro series without specs. i was under the assumption that we were limited due to valve to piston clearance.
I will be using PAC or PSI springs. Have you tried PAC springs. We use ferrea or pac in the mitsubishi 2.0 head and rev to over 11k rpm

Make sure you are using an upgraded spring on the heads. The Track warrior is going to be faster 0-60, but the race warrior will probably win in the 1/4 mile. Here is the tomohawk with FRI street heads, Road Warrior with Stage 2 PPP heads, and Track Pro Series with Stage 2 PPP heads. I dont have a race warrior graph, but I would expect more top-end and a little less low-end.
Road Warrior #'s are good
do you have a comparesion between Road Warrior & Comp 260? and which idle sound is closer to stock sound?
Andy is right on............track warrior will be a little better than the race down low (0-60)....race will hit you at the top end...be a little quicker in the 1/4 and will have more lope at idle. I have the race warrior and I love it!

Well, we do not release the specs on the pro-series. For 2 years we did not release any specs, but now that we have a new line of camshafts, we released the specs on the standard cams. The track pro-series has the upper rpm power of a race warrior and the low rpm grunt of a standard track warrior. The pro-series have very aggressive ramp rates and lots of lift. If the valvetrain is not setup correctly, your springs will fail. We have used PSI several times, the 1511 is the one you want to use, but having said that, we also spec new custom locators and retainers to prevent the spring from walking and giving it the correct install height. It is not a direct replacement and you can not just throw it in there and expect it to work. Be very careful with setting up the springs.

No, the comp 260 is not a competing cam. It is an off the shelf cam that works for 5.7's and 6.1's. All of our cams are engine specific. The comp cams are very lazy with very soft lobes. The comp cams make good power, but there is more to be made with different cams.
So you are saying that I have to get the cam , figure out the lift, rocker ratio etc. so I can set the springs up ? I understand keeping ramp profiles a secret but lift is lift and is easily measured. To me having general specs for my knowledge will most likely make the decision as to whether I try the pro series or not.
As mentioned before I am very competent with engine and head work. Our 2.0l runs nearly twice the rpm of a stock hemi 11,400-11,600 rpms and makes over 10hp per c.i.
Having said that I have no problem buying springs, locaters ,etc from you if you sell them seperately with a cam purchase.

but dont the road & comp 260 cams make almost the same power in low end and also in general HP? correct me if i am wrong plz
and what doesThe comp cams are very lazy with very soft lobes mean?
sorry for my lack of knowladge of cams terms
I actually would prefer a nice lope but. It would bring back my muscle car memories 327 high compression with a very tight lsa 106-108 if I recall.
Why does no one mention KRC performance on here? They claim to have/had the fastest jeep srt8 at 11.1. They have some cams for the hemi but most are long duration lower lift.
