I just went outside to leave for the weekend, everything was normal when I unlocked it, headlights came on, but when I went to start it, the power was cut off immediately before it could even crank over. I mean all power, no lights, no response on any buttons on the key, no anything. Tried my other key and still can't get power.
So I stated to poke by the fuses and about after 5 mins I tried the unlock button on the key again, and the lights came on. I went to start it and the same thing happened again!
If anyone can help me ASAP that would be much appreciated!
Well, after checking every fuse and pulling every relay to see if anything was burned up I pulled the battery cables and all visible grounds I re-tightened everything and it started right up. Knock on wood I haven't had a problem yet.
I am thinking that I may have had a loose ground. I will keep everyone updated, thanks for the responses!
Same happened to me yesterday, i am in an 07 and never had a warning of the battery getting weaker, went to start it nothing no lights no turn over dead. Triple A came out and jumped me and tested the battery told me it was dead had to buy a new battery on the spot. I have never had a battery die so suddenly without warning. Will be interesting to hear if anyone else has had this issue and if a new battery is the fix. Right now everything is back to normal with the new battery.
Dumb question but I'm having these same issues right now. There is enough power to light up the inside of the car but when I turn the headlamps on it just flickers (I have HID's).
What do the grounds have to do with the battery? Will a lose ground drain the battery? All electrical mods I have is on my sig. Any answer will be great.
