I had my matte black rims done in Ceramic Pro and I'm a fan. Makes them 100% easier to clean and any brake dust pretty much comes off with just a rinse.
Professionally done, after polishing the car to a swirl free finish, this protects and locks in that mirror finish. There are other coatings as well, Opti Coat, CQuartz etc... Look for a reputable detailer in your area that offers coating services. I had my rig multi step corrected, and coated with Cquartz for $350
Mondo,
You can DIY you just have to make sure the surface is contaminant free and also ISO wiped before hand. It lasts until you basically correct it off with polish
I have ceramic pro on my truck and i love it, all the bug tar comes right off. All the brake dust comes off easy as well. Protects from rock ships and scuffs, one of the best investments for the rig
It's not too expensive, but not cheap either. I am a HUGE fan of all of their products, cannot say enough about how great Corey and the gang at Car Pro.
I've used CQuartz, Reload, FlyBy, Hydr02, PERL, Iron X and more, truly great products.
I've seen professional quotes around $300 to apply Ceramic Pro. Quite honestly, the CQuartz was easy to apply. The hard part is making 100% certain you paint is perfect before applying. A full decontamination and polish must be done before CQuartz can be applied.
Incorrect. CQuartz and CQuartz UK are "consumer grade" products sold to anyone and CQuartz Finest is only available from Authorized professional installers and carries a 2 year warranty.
I've been quoted by two shops $1400 and $1600. In NJ.
That's complete exterior. Glass, wheels, calipers, trim, full paint correction.
The $1600 quote seamed like a more experienced company..
