Just installed mine last night and did a lot of hunting around on the site to see where everyone else was running theirs at. Figure maybe people can post up their setup and ride quality here to dial our rigs in.
Fronts I have set at 8 clicks from full firm, strut screwed up slightly from bottomed out and am sitting at about 30.50 inch from ground to fender
Rears I have set at what it came at out of the box, shock screwed all the way in and im running no adjustment rings with the rear springs. Drivers side is 31.25 inch and passenger is 31.50.
Letting them settle as I just installed and took for a short rip around the neighborhood and man what a difference. My fronts were trashed so its hard to compare with a stock setup but I love how it handles now and I can wash the roof without a stool now. Ride is stiff but feels great to me, kinda how a jeep like ours should ride I feel. Anyone have trouble with alignments with them being this low? And should I wait till they settle to get this done so nothing changes?
Anyone care to chime in with their setup and knowledge?
Subscribed. I'm getting ready to install my BCs tomorrow along with BWoody rear upper and lower control arms. I'm surprised no one has done a how to yet.
Yea I ran into problems on the passenger front strut but learned from my mistakes and knocked the driver side out in 30 minutes. Rears were obviously straight forward and easy
I'm at full firm in the front and 2 or 3 clicks from full soft out back. I'm as low as possible though and I DON'T recommend it for daily driver use. Trimmed the rings as well as top of shock tower to allow the "slammed" stance.

Reading another thread with you setup you have those jba arms correct? Did you run them so you could go even lower?. Im hoping to stay away from swapping to the jba arms, going to get an alignment today and hopefully the can correct my camber. I dont want to burn through tires to keep the jeep low.
^^Actually, my alignment was within spec when I ran Eibach and never had uneven tire wear. It wasn't until I went with the BCs that I had to get the JBA in order to get camber where it needed to be.
Not exactly sure what you mean but your insulators should be on the body of the jeep, then you install that threaded sleeve and spring
Got the jeep aligned yesterday and all seems to be good, I think I am bottoming out when turning at slow speeds on bumps. I had a knock similar to it be for I changed to the coilovers and was hoping it was just the bad struts. I changed the two front diff bushings that are the same last year but not that third one in front. Still had the knock when first driving the jeep when I would turn out of my driveway, cant figure out what it is.
Belle tire said three of the front ball joints had slight play but stated were fine and did the alignment anyway, maybe my problem.
I thought it may be hitting the top of the shock tower , but I had this problem before I installed the coilovers. I assume with it being low now that it most likely doing this as well. Im gonna do some inspecting tonight hopefully, need it to warm up in michigan, I shouldnt need to fire up my garage heater to work on cars anymore
Thing rides and handles bumps pretty good going straight.
Even before installing my Coilovers I was getting the same knocking noise. I replaced the front LCA and it went away. I'm about 90% sure it was the lower ball joints popping. The other thing you can do as well is make sure they are torqued down. If they are loose at all it will make them pop too.
Doesnt look like I am hitting the control arm, ball joints could still be a possibility. Pissed I got an alignment if im gonna change out all the ball joints. Still gonna investigate more, sometimes does it on hard acceleration and deceleration also.
That's pretty much the same thing that would happen to me. Also I got a question about adjusting the height of the fronts. Can it be done with the vehicle on the ground? Or do you have to unbolt the bottom to turn the shock tube?
Should just have to pull the wheel, and adjust from there. I havent tried to do it with the truck on the ground, one I wouldn't fit under the truck and two I think taking the weight off will make it easier to adjust.
Definitely shouldnt have to unbolt the strut at the bottom.
Seem to work for me, leave those two top rings locked so you dont change your spring rate, loosen your bottom lock ring for adjustment. Then leaving the two top rings locked together you can use the wrenches on them to either crank up or crank down the strut. You can only get small turns but makes it easier to adjust both sides the same.
Yeah I could take the rings out in the rear. Also got a few turns on the front to bring it down a lil more. It's sitting at 30 in the front 31 in the rear.
Looks amazing, I need a set of black 22's. Im terrible with computer stuff so i cant figure out how to get mine uploaded, my setup is very similar to ride4life and am very happy with it. Wife still drives it and she is having fun with it.
Are you comparing stock 20 wheels and tires or stock 20 wheels and 275/315 tire setup?
I'm on stock wheel 275/315 tire setup and run 30" height front and 31"ish rear. Full stiff front and 5 clicks from full stiff rear. Rear locking rings removed just collar
