Posting this up here in a new thread. Need help quick, I am getting sick of almost dying on the highway and having to coast with no power to the side of the road.
Yeah, that would have bee nice if it helped. So I have a P2101 which is:
Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit .
What the hell is that.
I get the lightening bolt of death in red in the upper right hand corner of the dash blinking and it is as if the gas pedal has vanished into thin air and ceased to exist.
I have to literally coast the the side of the road and then put it in park cycle the Key, then it is gone, for like 4 minutes, 20 minutes, it is totally sporadic, any ideas?
This happened after I had a new MHP TCM put in, I do have the 85mm Fastman TB and all the stuff you see in my sig.
Please let me know if anyone has had this problem and what it is.
I took it to Jeep, they said they re learned the computer and it should be good, then 6 minutes of driving the throttle goes by by again.
I swapped the tune back to stock, good for 15 minutes then 2 more times it did it again.
So what the heck is going on here?
I have the new TCM coming on Tuesday, but could it really be the TCM connecting through the bus system and throwing that code on the throttle actuator?
I mean this happens when I am at WOT or when I cam just coasting a long down a hill or coming to a stop. So it does not happen under any certain condition, hot, cold, fast, slow, under throttle, or not. It happens whenever wherever, however.
