What do the 392 cars do with stock class mods? I'm guessing 12.6-12.7? Anyone have any input on that?

#15 ·
Pro usually goes to mid to low10 sec. Turbo Jeeps :D. Mondo is the pro king!

#18 ·
Leave the bottle out and run Super Stock or throw in the bigger shot and run pro?

Suggestions?

I would think more towards super stock. To many faster guys then me with FI or other craziness.
I say if you are looking to break some PB's then run with the juice! You could even do a little bit of both and run with NOS for your Index races and no juice and run Super Stock. My Jeep is a second behind the leaders in the Pro Class and it was still such a blast at the two events I made last year! With some luck I even managed to grab 3rd place at ATCO in November :D

#12 ·
Anything can happen. I've taken cash and by no means was I the fastest. Two years ago when I busted 10s at Atco I was hot lapping like crazy at the end! I had crazy fun that day and that's what it's all about!

Thanks for posting this up Harry, here is a link if you want to download it.

Feel free to PM me if you cant get your question answered. I may miss it here. Usually the questions come into play for the PRO class, its a bit confusing by was written up in a manner to keep the competition as close as possible. Should be a 10.0 class or very close to it. Remember, stock bottom end has no restrictions on power adder for PRO.

Unlimited from previous years has been renamed to Super PRO. Unlimited now is for the cars that were previously excluded such as FI Drag Paks and those with aftermarket trans with solid rear or those that dumped their factory PCM for a Fast system.

Read it over a couple times, you'll see where you fall in pretty quick.

Guys with a "stock" motor... meaning, stock internals should not be racing against a "built" motor guy. Just my opinion.

For example...BlownWK(stock 6.1) shouldn't have to race Mondo(built 6.1)...Both running Stage6 turbo kits

But, What do I know? hahahhaa

#41 ·
Haha great comparison. I don't mind getting smoked by Mondo since he's a Stage 6 brother. The only thing that somewhat levels the playing field for the SC guys is the weight restrictions.

Stock internal guys can have any power adder they want. Built engine guys are limited to certain size power adders.

#40 · (Edited)
But Harry if a guy running say idk a 76mm turbo on stock motor is gonna run faster then says a guy like me with a SC running stock motor and only about 8-10lbs of boost because of the parasitic loss of a sc. Almost still no comparison. No?? Or is it comparable?

Yeah I understand going into the events with my stock motor that I stand no chance against most of the competition in the Pro Class such as Mondo or JackSickSRT who whooped me in the semi's at ATCO lat year. I made into the semi's however because the race before the guy before ran into problems and I got the W. So anything can happen. No matter what the events are such a blast and I was able to get in about 8 runs at both VMP and ATCO. Probably could have got more runs in but I am pushing the limits on my stock tranny. I know no one is questioning how good of a time these events are but unfortunately they can only have so many classes to have these events run smoothly and have prizes for everyone as well. No excuses for Index though ;)

Racing is racing for a reason, if we all had the same builds and setups it would be a really boring sport. Diversity is what makes this sport fun!!! I love it for what it is not for winning every event I go to. All about that 1/4 mile boys and girl!
