HEY GUYS... SO I HAD A DIABLO 91 OCT TUNE ON THE EARLIER CROM 9R12 ON MY 07, AND ITS BEEN ON THERE FOR MONTHES WORKING FINE. ONE DAY I STARTED THE CAR AND THE CEL WAS ON. STARTED THE CAR A FEW TIMES WENT AWAY. THEN LATER THAT DAY THE CAR WENT LIMP WHEN I HIT THE GAS... SHUT CAR OFF PROBLEM WENT AWAY.. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID STORED TCM CODE AND COME BACK NEXT WEEK WHEN THE TRANS GUY IS THERE. SOME ONE ON THE FORUMS TOLD ME TO UPDATE IT TO THE LATEST CROM(9R18) AND I DID. AFTER I PUT IT INTO THE CAR, THE FIRST START UP RESULTED IN LIMP MODE WHEN I HIT THE GAS. TURNED THE CAR OFF AND ON AND IT WENT AWAY... ALSO NOW MY SHIFT FIRMNESS DOESNT SEEM TO BE HARD LIKE THEY WERE BEFORE WITH THE PREDITOR.. THE SHIFT FIRMNESS IS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO WHEN ITS ON THE STOCK TUNE... IS THIS ALL BECAUSE THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY TCM? WHAT COULD BE WRONG WITH MY TCM?? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.. THANKS GUYS :boohoo:
When i had my limp mode problem i was in the crom 8R20 then updated to crom 9R12 and it sloved the problem. If you look at the updates anything above 9R12 doesnt apply to the jeep.
Unless you have that crom file, it doesn't matter. But the current and most up to date is the 9r18 for 2009s. The 9r13 is for us, 14 and 15 is for export, 16 is just some fix for glitches/bugs, 17 is wider support and update for the Chally(?), and finally 18 includes all of the revisions and updates.
so should i reload the 12 back onto my preditor instead of the 18 crom? i have a 07? what about your guys shift firmness.. my shifts use to launch me forward now they arent very strong at all? tcm problem?
