Couple quick non cherokee questions, I own a 08 caliber srt4 with the mopar stage 1.
-This one has been ran into the ground but does anyone know the final production numbers of the caliber srt4? If not is there someone who we could contact?
-Also, when switching gears and when coasting going back to accelerating,, I get a loud thunk/clunk sound, a other forum members have experienced this and just wrote it off as the clutch, is this something else? do you happen to know what is this caused by and/or what could be done to lessen it?
-and if I can squeak a third question in: Is the SRT engineering group planning on attending any events this year? ...Such as the lx and beyond nationals or SRT4 nationals?
-Thanks for taking the time to do this. We greatly appreciate it.

do you have any insite or info you could give us that would help out with this issue?
maybe a stuck throttle??? pcm is freakin out??? spark plugs???
thanks for the help SRT a.k.a. my dream job fillers!
Hey Iceman - Does your car have any mods? Stage 1 or aftermarket? I don't expect that its the throttle sticking or pcm having an issue, but spark plugs could certainly be an issue...perhaps if the gaps are too high or too low...until the cylinder walls build up a little heat the combustion wouldn't be ideal and therefore the car bucks. I'm assuming no codes are being thrown? Let me look into the thread you linked and if anything else comes to mind, I'll reply to your post again.

Iceman - I just read through the thread on caliberforums and nothing is really coming to mind at the moment....it appears that it occurs with both ms1 and stock and one guy commented on iridium plugs. 400hpsrt4 claims to have a wideband that shows the fueling is going lean-rich-lean-rich when this occurs...do you think by chance he has a data capture or file that I could look at? Its been quite awhile since I've driven an SRT4, but in all the miles calibrating the stock cal and ms1 I don't recall this. I'll get into an SRT4 while its cold here in Michigan and if nothing else, I'll have a reply for you at the next webchat....cool?

Item 1 - We do not have access to final production numbers.
Item 2 - It’s always difficult to judge severity of a noise over the internet, but this sounds pretty normal. All Drivetrains will have lash in the clutch, trans, differential, and all splines. You tend not to feel it in autos because the torque converter dampens out the transition. Some manual transmission cars try to improve this by limiting how quickly the throttle blade can open. While this does improve the clunk, it’s not so good for throttle response as you can imagine. At SRT we chose to keep the throttle response and let the driver modulate the throttle.
Item 3 - We are always game for road trips, however, all travel must be approved by management. If you continue to buy our cars, our travel budgets will most likely be approved, and you'll see us there.
