The Jeep SRT now in BX status will replace my Steel Blue one that came with numerous paint problems. The dealer and the Zone Office really stepped up. I am also pondering a 07 Superbee which the dealer has an allocation for. Guess which ever one comes in first. In the mean time, I am enjoying the Jeep I have now.

Really happy for you. Glad to hear it is all resolved to your benefit. Shame you had to go through so much, but looks like it might work out fine. Congrats!

Yes Sir, and I asked for cash back, but so far, he is not bitting. You know, for my trouble! Actually they have been great to deal with....the GSM of the Dealership. ZOne will assist the Dealer so they will not lose on the deal.
He got in a Superbee from another dealship that the owner was driving. Had 1700 miles on it, called me up and asked if I wanted to take it for a spin. Naturally, I said yes. Drove it for about 30 minutes....I liked it, but I still feel the Jeep is faster, and has more character. Thought I was a rock star with everyone looking....Even found a few slippery spots to take it over, and some snow. No where near as good as the Jeep, but I always managed to get moving. With the ESP on, went WQOT from a stop, got very little tire spin. Since it was almost out of gas, I did not want to go crazy, and happily drove it back to the dealer. Soon I will have a choice, the Jeep or the Superbee as they have them both coming in around the same timeframe.
I hear you Godfather, but at my age, fast now only pertains to making love! The order is in for the Steel Blue, same options as my present one. This time, if I notice any paint imperfections, I will just try to look the other way.
If I knew my wife would not divorce me, I would get both, the Jeep and the Bee. Put the Bee in a plastic dehumidified Bubble and let it sit until I am 90!
Shoda thats not old. From the way you were talking, I thought you were gonna hit me with a 76 or something. I remember when I was 57. Those were the days. Single, hot women everywhere. Wait no I meant 5'7. Much taller now.
Damn Godfather, now I also have to worry about "more" shrinkage? I feel great, still love fast cars, kids are grown and gone, and the wife still tolerates me. Most likely I will go with the Jeep. I have a 120 pound Cane Corso, so I like the cargo area for him. If he sits in the back seat, he keeps trying to like my head. ...That did not sound real good, did it.
I'm glad to see you got the paint issues resolved. I'm still debating whether or not I wan't to endure that fight with mine. Love the Supper Bee! Saw one about a month ago in the showroom of my Dodge dealer. Sweet looking ride although I can't see you getting your pup in the back of that one. I've got two Rotti's myself, I'd go for the Jeep. Good luck either way.
I agree, my Dog likes the Jeep....Heck, I like the Jeep.
If you have the Dealer on your side, its not much of a fight. The problem comes with the Digital Imaging unit and the authorization to have the repair made. Now I will really be pissed if the new Jeep comes in looking as bad as the current one.
The CarMax dealership near my home is getting a new '07 black Jeep SRT8 on Monday and I am going to go check it out. Where, exactly, are most of the paint problems you all are mentioning? I want to be a little more educated on this when I "inspect" the car.

Mine were pretty much all over. Roof, hood, both passanger doors, door pillar, and front fascia. Bubbles, paint over grit, fisheyes, and spots where not enough paint was applied, where the color was lighter. Look it over during the day. I picked mine up at night, a mistake. Had I noticed them in the daylight when I picked the car up, I would not have accepted it. Good luck. Also, check out every feature and control, tire pressure, ripples in metal....fluid levels.......

I have a spot under my head lamp with real bad orange peel. I also have several bad drips and a couple places on the edge of my hood that never got painted. I also have a bad crease in the metal on one of the doors and a small dent on another door all of which look to be pre-paint. Also check your wheels very carefully. Two of my rims have bad noticable blemishes.
