Any updates on fix ? I found a resistor kit on eBay but not sure if should pull trigger

I didn't install anything yet, but I planned on ordering a 6-ohm >25watt resistor to wire in parallel with the back hatch light. This will draw roughly 2 amps and should load the circuit enough to make it work correctly. I may shoot for a 1 amp fix to see if that works. (12-ohms, >25watt)

These are available at Newark, mouser, or digikey for like $1.

There are a few options:
1. Put a regular bulb in the tailgate.
2. Put a 1.5K ohm resistor on the map light.

I didn't need anything special with my led install because I bought the correct can bus style led bulbs

Your welcome. I just went to radio shack. With how cheap resistors are shipping would probably cost more than the actual resistor.

Led interior ltg not dimming

I used a 194 lamp holder witha filament cargo area lamp in it, wired in parallel with the cargo light fitting(with led). This I ty wrapped into the body of the tailgate, the Leds all dim correctly now. Leaving the glove box lamp as a filament lamp does not work as it has its own switch isolating it from the other interior lighting.

why are we still talking about all these hack job work arounds when the correct LEDs for our application are out there and same price as the normal ones....
