Visited the Detroit auto show and beelined to the Jeep section and viewed
the 2014 SRT Grand Cherokee. I first noticed the camal colored seats and
inquired to the SRT expert on site to find out that there will be interior options
on the SRT GC, not only the dark grey/suede interior that has been the only
interior up to now. The rep had really no information or rumors regarding the
'14 model. No pricing nada. He expected ordering to begin in May/June which
is a bit later than the Jan, '13 date that has been bandied about here on this
site.
I really disliked the wheels as they look the same as the premium wheel on the
regular GC. I would prefer the wheels on the '13 SRT.
The seating was extremely comfortable and plush. Interior very nice and well
appointed ect. The new seats did have the SRT logo embossed on them.
Very nice. 70K+ nice? I am seriously considering one of these but the price
really is a show stopper. Both my '08 Vette and '10 Ford Raptor were considerably
less expensive. Now I wish I had kept my '07 GC SRT8.
Sorry this post has little information. I was somwhat amazed that the SRT
"expert" at the show really had no clue.
