your thoughts on what to do with 95k 08 SRT8

Right now I have a 2008 SRT-8 that we use to play with at the drag strip and tow the toys. No issues except for the radiator hose which was an easy fix. My only concern is the miles and the stress of towing the boat and toys over time.

What are common problems once these things hit 100k miles? I love the SRT but the miles are getting up there and I am debating trading it in on a new RAM truck.

Thoughts?

I was going to do the same thing but the one I was looking at sold, my dad has an 08 with 92k and I advised him to sell it before 100k, I thought I heard a whine in the rear while going 80+ and he thinks he will only get 15k for it but I think a bit more cuz she is sweet still.
Go with your gut on this but don't wait too long cuz the tranny on these are junk lol

I would disagree. There are plenty of members on here with over 100k miles and no major issues. It's all about proper maintenance. If you take care of her, she'll take care of you.

If you have maintained it right then you should be fine. Neglecting any maintenance will cause something to go wrong. In the end anything man-made will break.

I saw an 08 Jeep SRT8 with 132k on eBay. And I've seen an 06 with 160k+ and had perfect maintenance.

It's up to you. If you want something better to tow your toys with I think the new Ram will be a great choice.

I was considering trading mine in for the same reason. (99K) the dealer would probably have made an offensive offer on a trade in and I'd have to pay $2000-$3000 in taxes on whatever I bought. You can get a good 3yr 36K Chrysler extended warranty for about $2500 which is what I did. I'm thinking I will get my $2500 back in parts/labor and I get to keep the Jeep with the peace of mind that if/when she breaks down I'm covered. Good luck

Drop a 426 in it along with a built tranny she should be happy for another 100+K miles.

I have a 125k on my 07. Just changed the radiator hose and the starter. The beast is maintained well. No other problems.
