This is a great thread because it has answered one of the questions I have about tuning. I just bought a 426 short block from PWR, and I'm wondering if I need to pull the stock tune on my jeep. Or, does it not matter? Since the engine would be different than stock, would they have to build me a tune from scratch anyways?
so i finally acquired my trinty, now my question is can i download the factory tune to the sd card send that tune to someone threw email or do i have to convert the file?
soo i got the back up file stored onto the sd card it says , PCM_and numbers says drg file. so i just send that file to the tuner! sry for all these questions!

Store that file on your computer too! Don't ever ever lose it. Leave a copy in your email too just incase a computer crashes you'll still have that original tune file.
Yes, you are all set to send it to your tuner of choice.
