My pleasure. Did I mention the insurance isn't bad on these things either. Coming from a German car to an American car is some good savings for more modifications

What exactly do you mean by that? Does it adapt to your driving style, or is there something else involved?

I've only had mine for a few weeks, and I have to say that the transmission is 100 times better then the magazines make it out to be. With that much torque I can't imagine what an 8-speed transmission would do. 5-speeds are plenty.

The dealership in Ponoka got back to me today. They will sell it to me for 72,495 + 5% GST.

I passed. LOL.

If you are interested in getting one, I can give you a couple dealerships that woudl be good to deal with and willing to sell you one at a resonable price.

The 8 speed will be out with the next version. Just for how up to date with technology these vehicles are, the 8 speed would have been a nice addition to the 12-13s

I'm pleased with how the 5 handles the power and shifts and all that. But it could be more efficient, and not revving as high on the highways.

The 5 speed programs itself to your driving style, so if you drive slowly normally, it will become lazy and smooth shifting. If you're aggressive, the shifts will start getting sharper and faster.

If you get a toon, the adaptive settings are cancelled and it shifts very quickly my jeep no longer has the burp from 1-2nd with the tune in it. (Which was always a fun sound)

That would be great, as the ones in Alberta are just too greedy for my taste.

Thanks

Just bought a 13 Jeep SRT8 after owning a WK1 SRT. My father has had an 2007 until a year ago, the motor blew at 65,000 miles and yes, it's 60K for a new motor. Both jeeps are faster than the 07 ML AMG, in my opinion. I drove the ML many times, short and long trips. However, the 07 ML had pretty much just as much goodies as my 13 SRT. The ML is not great off road so similar comparison there to the SRT. To be honest, I didn't hesitate choosing between a new SRT and 09 ML, I've been seriously considering both for about 2 years. Go SRT.
