Pro charger has kits in Alaska, they don't care of climate as long as you let it warm up. Do not do a heat blanket, uneven heat can expand one Section of the housing over another, including internals, and you will run into clearance issues. Just make sure you have fresh lube for the winter and let it idle. That's why I went pro charger too, vortech wouldn't back the winter climates, pro charger will.

The heat pad was intended for the pans and reservoirs.. Ie - fluids. just to speed up the warming process. - suggested as I haven't seen one of these rigs with a conventional block heater before.

I understood completely, absolutely, it's the tolerances being so tight, warm up the bottom half, will the assembly clear as it rotates. It may not.
Yea just let it warm up to operating temp before going nuts with it...it's only about 6 ounces of oil that needs to warm up too.
As far as his cam goes, he's got one of the PWR cams with the valvetrain components to go with it Mike. Let me know what you decide on doing and I'll send em up your way bud!

Hoseclamp here is my cam spec 217/223 555/555 114LSA 111ICL. I told Andy I was planning on going FI down the road so its a bit of a hybrid (FI plans were accelerated lol). Loved the sound and the power increase was very noticeable. As Skip said I also did springs, retainers and rods at the recommendation of him and Andy.
On unrelated note: Them some big halibut in your avatar

We've had a couple 20 deg. days and I remote start it to warm up.
So far all good. I think this is where the Maggie has the advantage
to warm up quick.
